In this case, the treatment is carried out during the woman's ovulation period. The spermatozoa (which can be from the partner/spouse or from a donor) are previously processed and selected in the laboratory to facilitate fertilisation. Once they have been selected and processed, they are introduced into the uterine cavity. This assisted reproductive treatment has three steps and is recommended for certain cases.
