The basic fertility study is a set of diagnostic tests aimed at analysing the possible causes for the failure to achieve a spontaneous pregnancy.

The first step is to take a complete and detailed clinical history, which assesses personal and family history, occupational and environmental factors, and nutritional or toxic habits that may be influencing fertility.

In addition, as part of the basic fertility study, it is necessary to perform a basic blood test (blood group and Rh factor, biochemistry and coagulation, serology to rule out infectious diseases).

To measure the number, mobility and morphology of spermatozoa.
